Help Spread Josie's Spirit
Josie’s family are happily covering the costs for Josie’s Dash and for the establishment of Josie’s Way. The community has been incredibly supportive of us, and this is one way we can give back in a way that honors Josie. If you'd like to continue spreading her spirit you can do so through Josie's Way or through her school.
Through Josie's Way
Josie loved to be outside exploring the world, and to be doing it her own way. She often created her own routes to places to make the trip more fun. One day Josie declared a particular path, "Josie's Way." We're creating a public "Josie's way" in her honor to create the space for kids to connect with outdoor play and exploration.
There are many opportunities to enhance Josie’s Way, for example with additional path construction, landscape design, water play areas, fairy gardens, and a statue/sculpture of Josie. Through Josie's School
Josie loved her time at Our Neighborhood Child Development Center. Our Neighborhood created a loving space that helped Josie deepen her relationships, build empathy, and encouraged all emotions and experiences. Josie loved her time in the learning studio, exploring and experimenting, and collecting all the acorns in the school yard that she could turn into artwork to take home.
Those who wish to express sympathy may consider making a donation in Josie’s name to give more children the chance to grow their strength and spirit at her school.
